Vegan Pasta



Vegan Pasta
Preparation and cooking time: 40 minutes.  Serves: 4   Cuisine type: Italian

This is a quick and very easy to make vegan* pasta. The ingredients are available at most USA supermarkets. Notice that this recipe if free of animal products.

This is the list of Ingredients:
 1 Lb (425 grams) of Medium Shells Pasta
 2 onions (about 6 oz each)
 5 cloves of Garlic
 1 Lb of Petite Peas (Frozen)
 12 OZ (340 grams) of Morningstar Farms Veggie Crumbles
 A small portion of Capers (your taste)
 12 Spanish Olive stuffed with pimientos
 Olive Oil, salt and Pepper



Peel garlic cloves and crack them by pressing each individual glove down on the flat side of a broad knife. This will loosen the papery skin that can then be easily removed. Slice off the ends of a clove of unpeeled garlic. Finely slice the peeled garlic and it will fall away into tiny pieces.




Select 12 Spanish Olive (Stuffed with Pimentos) and slice then as showed in the picture.




Select a small portion of Capers. If you want the pasta to be more strong in flavor you can add more Caper.




Select two onios and dice them. Start this procedure by slicing the top of the onion off. Cut the onion in half from top to bottom and peel it and dice them in small squares.




Select a large fry pan and add sufficient Olive oil (preferred Virgin Oil) to sauté the garlic and onion.




Start adding the sliced garlic first




Then add the diced onions, small amount of salt and some pepper.




Once the onions get a little bit transparent you can now add the frozen Petite Peas.




Slowly stir all the ingrediens to allow very part to be cooked.




Once the Petite Peas are fully warmed the you can add the Morningstar Farms Veggie Crumbles




Notice that the Morningstar Farms Veggie Crumbles are pre-cooked. It only requires a small amount of time in order to gain a nice color.




Follow the instruction for the Medium Shells Pasta and don't forgte to add a small amount of salt to the water before cooking.




Once the pasta is ready and rinse, put it on a large serve dish.




Now mix the pasta with the other ingredients and you are ready to enjoy this Vegan dish.
